In the period 2015 - 2016, our modular jack-up barge JB-108 was deployed in the Amazon rainforest of Southern Peru, in the town of Puerto Maldonado. Our client used JB-108 for the installation of structures, to decrease the strong river currents in one curve of the river, in order to mitigate a riverbank erosion process which was jeopardizing the neighbouring village. After successful completion of this project, indeed the eriosion process stopped. Providing a jack-up barge on a remote inland project location in the deep interior of Peru is a good example of how we are well positioned to serve clients in the most remote locations, thanks to the modular transportable character of our equipment.
